The Prairie Gateway Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (PGASLA) has released its list of 2019 Professional Award winners. Juried by a team for the Minnesota Chapter, this year two honor awards and six merit awards were given to projects, many of which fall under the public and educational sectors. The awards were presented at the PGASLA Awards Gala on March 2 at the Center for Architecture and Design in Kansas City, Mo.

The following is the full list of award winners by category:

Design - Built
- Honor Award: Joplin, Mo. Public Library, Joplin, Mo., Design Workshop
- Merit Award: Billy Goats Gruff Yard, Kansas City Zoo, Kansas City, Mo., Confluence
- Merit Award: University of Kansas Medical Health Education Building, Kansas City, Kan., Land3 Studio and Jeffrey L Bruce and Company

Design - Unbuilt
- Merit Award: Warner Master Plan, Manhattan, Kan., Jessica Canfield (Student)

Planning and Analysis
- Honor Award: Beyond the Loop, Kansas City, Mo., Confluence
- Merit Award: Echo Bluff State Park, Eminence, Mo., SWT Design
- Merit Award: Louisburg Master Trails Plan, Louisburg, Kan., SWT Design

- Merit Award: Kansas State Parks Signs, Kan., RDG Planning & Design
