SpectraTurf is an innovative leader in manufacturing and installing rubberized playground safety surfacing, utilizing both pre-consumer and post-consumer reclaimed material components. Proud to take a stand in supporting the environment, SpectraTurf goes beyond recycling and embraces the groundbreaking TRUcircularity™ program. Aimed to eliminate rubber waste by recycling and reimagining every end-of-life rubber surface, this process takes rubber material at the end of its life and converts it into something else instead of throwing it away. When an old playground surface needs to be replaced, SpectraTurf removes the old surfacing and repurposes it for a new playground - nothing is taken to landfills. Through the TRUcircularity program, SpectraTurf is an active participant in the circular rubber economy. In 2020, SpectraTurf was awarded a grant with CalRecycle Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery for this innovative process. To date, our involvement in this grant program has diverted approximately 123,255 tires from going to a landfill. That is the essence of the TRUcircularity.™ program.
