A material translation of a traditional umbrella, Stretch evokes the appearance of taut fabric stretched over fanned ribs. In contrast to its formal inspiration, Stretch's cast aluminum shade and minimalist construction offer a more durable, confidence-inspiring silhouette while allowing the interior to be unobstructed by visible hardware. Designed by Scott Klinker through a distinctly architectural lens, Stretch is both a site furnishing and an iconic piece of architecture, allowing landscape architects to accentuate their unique design language with a more artful expression of the sun shade.
