Biography:

Dave Barlow graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He has a B.S. in Crop Science with a concentration in Agronomy. He is a licensed Pest Control Advisor in California in all categories and has worked in the turf and landscape industry for over 39 years. He has worked for the J.R. Simplot Co. (BEST FERTILIZERS) since 1989 as their Area Manager in Northern Calif. and Northern Nevada. Dave Barlow currently occupies the position of Technical Sales Specialist.

Course Title: Cost Effective Turf Management.

Course Description: Turf managers wear many hats in making decisions about the maintenance of their turf. Choosing the right practices and the tools necessary to perform those tasks is not always easy. This presentation will address the different aspects of turf maintenance from basic mowing to choosing the proper nutrition with an emphasis on cost effectiveness and environmental stewardship.
