Biography:

Richard Daigle has been a contributing member to the Green Industry for the past 30 years. His background reflects a diverse amount of experience and knowledge in all areas. In the beginning of 1977, he owned and operated a landscape and maintenance company, which includes the maintenance of the first Burger King and then rewarded the entire franchise as a result of his company?EUR??,,??s work. Richard then purchased a hundred-acre wholesale nursery in 1980, selling to most maintenance companies in the surrounding area of Glendora, California. He has since owned and operated Basic Irrigation Parts since 1985 and added Valcon Values to the company in 1999. He is a member of many organizations and heads up the educational department for the CLCA for the Inland Empire in California.

Course Title: Troubleshooting Electrical Irrigation Systems

Course Description: This Introductory Class Is One Of The 10 Basic Courses Needed For The Basic Irrigator Technical Irrigation Certification. The class teaches technicians the general skills of troubleshooting an electrical irrigation system through the use of basic electrical equipment. It includes general instruction on the function and uses of a voltage ohmmeter and shows you how to use wire-tracking equipment (example: 521) to locate wire faults in the field. The class goes from testing the transformer of a controller to checking the ohms of a solenoid and all other functions of testing the irrigation electrical system.
