This year the AZASLA sponsored three events in the 2014 Science Olympiad Arizona State Tournament- Middle School Division held in Scottsdale. The event is a national science, technology, engineering and math program that allows students to apply what they know in a competitive setting.
AZASLA has continued to work on the ACE Legacy Project at Metro Tech High School in Phoenix, which provides vocational training to students from 15 high schools in the Phoenix Union High School District. This program was established in 2008 by the ASLA as a way to give back to the city that hosts the event.
In March, AZASLA held their Awards Gala and Expo, which had over 200 attendees, including 23 vendors. The event is the Chapter's premier annual event and focuses on the presentation of their annual awards.
The Arizona Chapter of ASLA (AZALSA) had a busy and productive year. The Chapter held several events that included outreach, education to students, and community service as well as professional development and networking opportunities. ![]() Comment Form is loading comments...
