Dr. Robert D. Brown was recognized by the Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture (CELA) with their Lifetime Achievement Award at the organization's annual conference in Cincinnati.
The conference website had this to say about Dr. Brown: "Dr. Robert D. Brown, Professor of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University, is a leading scholar known for pioneering research in microclimatic landscape architecture and evidence-based design. His work on thermally comfortable outdoor environments has influenced research and practice globally, supported by more than 140 refereed journal articles and extensive mentorship of students and emerging scholars.
