2024-2025 President-Elect Sharon Jean-Phillippe, Ph.D., from the University of Tennessee stepped into the role of Board President as Tom Smiley, Ph.D., from Clemson University steps down from this role.
Board member Samuel Ma from Kassod Arbor Tree Consultancy & Services Ltd will continue to serve in his current role as he takes on President-Elect to become President next fall.
New board members include Asia Dowtin, Ph.D., from Michigan State University's Department of Forestry; tree climbing champion Boel Hammarstrand; Kevin K. Eckert from Arbor Global; and Randall H. Miller from Eocene Environmental Group.
These individuals will join Vice President Jessica Sanders, Ph.D., PMP from the Sacramento Tree Foundation; John Coles, Tree Officer of the Royal Court of Norway; Mike Watson from Shady Lane Tree Care; Lori Brockelbank from The Davey Resource Group; forester and arborist Rebecca Johnson from Arborholic and Women In Trees; Steve Lane from Great Lakes Urban Forestry Management, Inc.; Lauren Marshall, Ph.D., from Arbor Day Foundation; and Tim Walsh from Townsend Company, LLC.

The International Society of Aboriculture (ISA) 2025-2026 Board of Directors began their term on September 1, welcoming six new members to the team of fifteen.
