The Department of the Interior released the long-term schedule for offshore oil and gas lease sales in the Gulf of America as directed by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
This sale schedule allows President Trump to fulfill the promise of energy independence and increased production. At least 30 lease sales in the Gulf, accounts for around 14-15% of crude oil production in the U.S. The sales further offer the oil and gas sector stability and encouraged investment in deepwater infrastructure - allowing for job growth, GDP contribution, energy security, and economic affects.
Then, in Alaska, there will be six lease sales in Cook Inlet through 2032 that will lead to further development in the region - marking an opportunity for Landscape Architects.
